The year started off with "The Right Stuff". Thanks to the wonderful PEOPLE at my job, I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream. That's right. I met THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK. It was probably the most emotional day of my life....check out the facial expression below.

THE LATEST INTERNET CRAZE!

The latest viral video war between rap-hopper Kat Stacks (who preys on artist for fame) and model /music video starlet, Rosa Acosta got nasty! Kat recently retaliated on Rosa's parody video about her by exposing Rosa’s digits in a video that was released all over the world-wide-web. This spiked a war of words that reached The Bochinche Bueno Show.

The BB Show exposed Kat's new M-O via a comedy skit, entitled "The Kat Stacks Home Shopping Network". The spoof showcases some of Stacks most treasured keepsakes from her escapades with various entertainers, including Nelly, Bow Wow and more.

Hey Guys,

I'm SO sorry I havent' updated this thing in a few weeks. Hey, I'm new at this, OK? No, really, I've been really busy. Lots going on, so lots to talk about...so let's get started, shall we?

RECAP

So here's where I recap what was the MOST amazing birthday party EVER! What a night! When I originally thought of doing an old school 80's birthday jam a few months ago, I never thought that nearly all invited guests would REALLY dress up. WOW, was I mistaken. You guys outdid yourselves.

I want to thank everyone for coming to the jam, and showing love. (Here's where I get emotional, sorry). I am so proud to be surrounded by so many wonderful, caring and suportive friends and family members. It makes me incredibly mushy just thinking about it. THANK YOU.

A few personal shout outs are in need:

1) To the World Famous DJ E.M. who did SO much for me and this party. Thank you for going all out. Now we're even. Your surprise 30th will STILL go down in history (patting myself on back), but mine was definitely one for the books. THANK YOU LOVE YOU!

2) To my sister (and Geoff) for flying up from North Carolina to partake in the 80's action. You guys looked awesome! THANK YOU! LOVE YOU!

3) To my BFF Jackie aka Cinnabuns. I can't wait to see the Video. I heard your did an amazing job interviewing everyone amid the alcohol intake. Congrats! LOL LOVE YOU!

4) To my BFF Ruthy...I know motherhood has added a whole new beautiful world to your life and our friendship, but your amazing for STILL making time to celebrate my 30th with me.

5) To Michael (the BEST Australian camera guy I know) Chante (Santa's Lil' Helper), Sandra (The best photog ever! Sorry for the broken lens), Ruthy F.(for makin' my makeup look FLY!) and Champion (who realy does have the best "EYE") - THANK YOU for all your help. It was greatly appreciated!

6) To the ILLEST DJ's! DJ's Ray Diamond, Rio Lopez, Best Out, Uncle Ralph McDaniels, and Ish...you guys KILLED it! To put it in perspective, at one point while I was in the bathroom, I overheard people forget about their urinary needs for a sec, to RUN upstairs because the DJ was "playing their joint". Does that mean your "flow" was so sick that people risked a UTI just to dance to what you were playing? Umm, the answer is YES. LOL

7) To my Bklyn College Crew - Always representing! ALWAYS! Years of friendship, and it's as if we never stopped meeting up at 0700. Thank you for reppin'!

8)Neo, Ladell, and LOGIC - the Dancers! The party was a party, but you guys BROUGHT the 80's funk. You guys were SO amazing, and took EVERYONE aback with your skills. Thank you for coming through!

9) The NYILFF crew - WOW! First of all, many of us JUST got to know each other just over the summer through NYILFF, but damn....what a fun group. I'm so happy to have worked and partied with you guys and I can see this party is going to continue for a very long time...Oh, and Lyndon - you won first prize as the BEST Slick Rick....you looked more like him than he does himself. LOL

10) The StonyBrook/Dominican Republic 2008 Crew - Pabblissimo! Orlando! Menudo! LOL WTF? SO unexpected.....you guys came through and STOLE the show. From the boom box, to Pablo's vinyl, to Ryan's tattoos...I can't believe the effort! BEST IN SHOW!

11) The People en Espanol Crew! Thank you SO much for coming out!

Home on a rainy Friday, about to go get my hair did (not sure why, it's miserable out), and after watching the continuous coverage of the death of Michael Jackson on TV, online and on the radio, I was inspired to write a blog entry.

I don't know about you guys, but I can remember singing many-a-Michael song in elementary school during Assembly in the auditorium of P.S. 255 in Brooklyn, NY. We're hearing on the television that his music inspired so many people; it not only inspired it unified. In my eyes, he stands to be the ONLY musician that brings together races and creeds of all kind. His music is not only prized in the U.S., but it's sung around the world, from Iran, to Israel, from Brooklyn to North Korea.

As an 80's baby, I grew up listening to my brother and sister rockin' out to the 8-track of "Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits" and I even cried from fright after watching the debut of "Thriller" on MTV. Vincent Price's laugh haunted me for a long period of time during my childhood, but whatever. I still remember my sister hogging up the wall space of our bedroom with his posters, but I thank her for blasting his music when all I wanted to do was watch She-Ra. It was this early on that I became a fan.

So in light of the TONY Awards happening this weekend, I thought it would be appropriate for me to thank a few people that made my theatrical debut this past Thursday at the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe a sucess.

These feelings of joy, accomplishment, and appreciation are keeping me GOING this weekend!

Thusday night was my very first on-stage performance; I guess I’ve come a long way since playing Anita in my eighth grade class’s version of West Side Story. Not only was I grateful to be selected to play Suzy in the incredily funny show, "Please Hold" by the immaculate Jenny Saldana, but I was so privileged to perform on the legendary stage of the Nuyorican Poet’s Café.

It really was an out-of-body experience! Lastly, and most importantly, I am so very thankful to have such a wonderful a support system of friends. I have to honest and say that I was pretty cool and collected pre-show (kinda), UNTIL I heard my name being chanted by the audience before we came out! LOL That’s when I almost lost it. I started tearing back stage because I was so overwhelmed. You have to understand, that we don’t see the audience until we step foot on the stage, so I didn’t really know what to expect.

Thank G-d for the stage lights, because once I step foot on the stage, I was blinded by them and couldn’t really see out in the audience LOL.

So in conclusion, from the top and bottom of my heart - THANK YOU to all those who have supported me, and who are sticking with me for this ride...

Where do I begin? I think I should start off by apologizing...I haven't made any posts in a while, but it's for a good reason...I've been overwhelmed with work and I'm so excited to share information on the projects I've been working on!

1) I was casted in an AMAZING play that is part of the Ultimate Latina Theater Festival happening here in NYC. Below is the info on the play, and if you're interested, get your tickets NOW! Last I heard there were only 27 seats left!

2) I landed a spot in the campaign for the NY International Latino Fillm Festival. I couldn't believe it. I auditioned last year, and didn't get it, and so that gave me even more ammunition to kick ass on my audition for this year's spot. (I also read The Secret once more a few weeks ago, so you BEST BELIEVE I put the "frequency" out there!!!). The shoot was held at the Somos Arte studio in Williamsburgh, Brooklyn on Saturday 5/2. It was AMAZING. The levels of talent, positivity, fun, and inspiration in that studio was incredible. I had a blast and am truly excited to see the final product.

3) I am also working on a webisode series by the talented Lauren Rivera which is currently in pre-production. Rehersals start tonight and I'm super excited. I play a pregnant office bochinchera (gossiper). How Loca la Boca is that??!!!??

4) I also shot a pilot for Hiccup Media which I'm super excited about. I am praying it gets picked up. I played a fed-up Colombian home attendant. I will say that shopping for scrubs was fun. I can't believe the variety that nurses and home attendants have to chose from! There were Betty Boop scrubs, Dora the Explorer scrubs, solid colors, daisies, etc...incredible.

5) Urban Latino Radio is in full force. We've now completed the Bochinche Bueno Crew, big shout out to the fam - Michael Diaz, K-VON, and Melo. I love you guys SO much! We are going to rock! 6) Congrats to my best friend and sister Ruthy, who have birth to the newest addition of "The Building" (name we have for our inner circle of friends). Laila Ruth Tamayo was born weighing 6 lbs and 20 inches long. See pic for cuteness...

7) Lastly, I wanted to share some sad news with you guys. Friday afternoon, a friend of mine, Erika Roman, was killed in a car accident in Orlando, FL. I met Erika when I worked at Latina magazine a few years ago, and I fell in love with her (no homo). She was an amazing, positive and motivated Latina who I admired and cared for deeply. She was the type to follow her dreams no matter what. She got an offer to work as a DJ on Orlando's Power 93 radio station, and just picked up and left for FL. She succeeded at building a huge fan base and everyone who knew her or even just her voice, loved her.

A Tale of 4 Cities – It was the Best of Times...

Hey Blogaroni Fans,It’s 2:00 A.M. on Sunday morning here in Melbourne. We just finished packing and are ready to sleep for a few hours before we head to Melbourne International Airport for our departure back to the United States.

Day 2 in Melbourne was phenomenal. What a way to end our trip. In the morning, we took a tour of the city on Melbourne’s free tram car. We got off at Spencer Street, where we found a fantastic outlet mall. As what occurs on most of my trips, I ran out of space in my luggage. Either my clothes expanded or I bought too many souvenirs (Probably the latter). I was forced to buy another suitcase. I found a cute bright pink duffle bag in the outlet mall, so I’m content. I also figured since all I bought myself was a didgeridoo and a boomerang, I found a gorgeous diamond ring that I fell in love with for a really cheap price. I not only bought it because of its beauty, but because from now on, every time I look at this piece of jewelry on my hand, I will be reminded of the beauty of Australia, and the everlasting memories of our Aussie adventure.

After the mall, we got picked up from by tour guide and drove 2 hours to Phillips Island. Before reaching the highly anticipated Koala Reserve, we had tea and scones on the Heritage Farm on Churchill Island. We saw stunning plant life and were treated to an up close encounter with a bunch of farm animals. We then headed to the Koala Reserve on Phillips Island. As you enter the forest, the smell of Eucalyptus was intense. You know that smell of a really good day spa? Picture that times 10. My sinuses were thanking me with every step of the way. Although we didn’t get to touch the cute furry Koalas, we got pretty close to them. We then had a nice dinner in town, and then headed to the infamous penguin parade of Phillips Island for the sunset. The penguin parade was amazing! The only blue penguins in the world march in numbers to their burrows hundreds of meters away from the shore. Thousands of people gather on the beach every day from all over the world to watch this daily march after the sun sets. You’re not allowed to take any pictures of the parade, but I snuck in my Flip Video camera to try and bootleg the march.

After the penguin parade we got dropped off at our hotel in Melbourne, we packed up, and here I am, writing our final blog entry, 10,355 miles away from home.

We came. We saw. We conquered. From Sydney, to Uluru, to Cairns and finally to Melbourne, this Tale of Four Cities now comes to an end. However, the mind-blowing sights, rare animal life, vivid colors, lovely weather, friendly people, and the strengthened friendship of the fantastic Aussie Trio shall remain forever.

We’re off to LAX in about seven hours, and should land in NYC at 4:50 P.M. Thank you all so much for keeping up with our whereabouts and commenting on our photos over the last 12 days. And I’m sure that you will be receiving numerous online albums from us in the days to come with the rest of our photos.

Melbourne - Day 1

Hello Blogaroni Fans!

It’s about 3:00 A.M (Saturday) right now, and thanks to the Pure Blonde Australian beer, I’m not really myself. I can’t seem to think that straight, so I apologize for the short entry. :)

We've arrived at the last stop of our Aussie adventure; Melbourne. From what we’ve seen of Melbourne, we LOVE. It’s very metropolitan.

We just got back to the hotel from partying with the locals at a club called CQ’s. It’s a three level club that holds 3500 people. The best part of the night (aside from the enjoyment of Pure Blonde beer), was when Daddy Yankee came on, we were the ONLY girls who knew the words to the music and how to dance to it. It was quite comical.

Just an update about my mosquito bite scare, it seems to be ok. For those of you that don’t know, while walking through the Daintree Rain Forest yesterday, I must have got bitten by a whole family of mosquitoes. I seem to have gotten an allergic reaction from the bite(s). The back of my right leg became VERY swollen (I took pictures, but won’t gross you out by posting) and the area was red and HOT. As my fellow hypochondriacs can relate, upon arriving back to the hotel, I was on Web MD like a mad woman researching symptoms of West Nile Virus, Malaria, poisonous spider bites, etc…I called the front desk of the hotel to inquire about my ailment, took some Ibuprofen for the swelling and applied cold compress and monitored my leg for hours (while praying to the Aboriginal Gods). Luckily, the swelling went down, and I have no fever or joint pain, so I think I’m alright.

So here are some pics of our 1st night in Melbourne. Tomorrow we are off to Phillip Island, where we will visit a natural Wombat, Koala and Kangaroo reserve, and see the infamous Penguin Parade at dusk.

G'day Mates!!! It's 6:18 P.M. on Thursday, March 19th. Day 2 in Cairns was another picturesque adventure. It started out rough all due to a simple typo. We received a letter under our door saying that our 4Wheel Drive truck will pick us up at 8:45 A.M. So these NYC chicks figured, "Great! Finally we get to sleep past 6 A.M.!!!" Seems as though there was a typo on that letter, because we got a phone call at 6:50 A.M. asking where we were, and that the truck was waiting! We jumped up, quickly washed and jet set for our rain forest adventure. But rest assured, a plentiful serving of NYC attitude was delivered on a silver f-ing platter once we got downstairs. So off we were with Wiley (pronounced WHILE-LEE), the smokeaholic Aussie tour guide.

We drove about 1 hour and 30 minutes outside of Cairns, to the Daintree Rain Forest. The drive was overflowing with delightful views of creeks, rivers, vegetation, and even tree frogs and Wallabies (small kangaroos)! Before arriving at the Daintree Ran Forest we stopped off at a quaint coffee shop off the side of the road. I guess Wiley sensed that these NYC girls needed some caffeine before the hike to the tropics. So the banana muffins and coffee were on the house. Not only were the muffins out of this world, but we got up close and personal with some tree frogs! (See pic above)

Upon arrival to the Daintree Reserve, we were escorted to a small boat which took up on a trip up and down the Daintree River. We were on the hunt for crocs! We didn’t get to meet the big boys, named Scarface and Fat Albert (Crocs measuring over 5 feet), but we did see some of their offspring. We also saw a tree snake, gorgeous birds, beautiful butterflies, stunning flora, and a breathtaking view of the hills and mountains that make up the Daintree Rain Forest.

We then went on two trails through mind-blowing rain forest. We learned about Liana’s (remember the vines that Tarzan swung from? This is the technical term for those vines), the vast plant life found in Daintree, the different kinds of wildlife that inhabits the rain forest and much more. Most importantly, we learned of what NOT TO TOUCH; there was a lot of different plant life that if we came into contact with, could have done some pretty severe damage to our health. Aside from the extraordinary plant life, rock formations and waterfalls, we saw some creepy crawlers, like HUGE spiders and a Tree Dragon Lizard (see pics above).

We were then taking to Tribulation Beach. The beach is a sacred Aboriginal location. Behind the beach was a small island where the Aborigines were said to have sent girls when they get their first menstrual cycle. There was also a rock formation that Aboriginal couples would go to if they were having trouble procreating.

And then it was lunch time. We were treated to lunch at a café near the rain forest. Christine was brave enough to order the pasta with Crocodile! Claudia and I stuck to the steak.

Christine says the croc tasted like pork. I’ll take her word for it. After lunch we headed to one more area within the rain forest, Mossman Park. We got to see some more cool rain forest stuff and we walked across a suspension bridge. It was very Indiana Jones.

OK folks, it’s dinner time. We’re off to the city for some grub, some more souvenir shopping, and an Australian Male Revue at a local bar! Not sure what to expect…but I’ll report back tomorrow! Thanks for tuning in…enjoy today’s pics and videos!

Cairns & The Great Barrier Reef

It's 6:02 PM. here in Cairns, Australia. We just got back from a day trip spent on the Michaelmas Cay, a small reef off of the Great Barrier Reef. OMG is all I have to say.

OK, so let's start with day one in Cairns. We arrived and made it to the hotel room, and decided to head out for some grub and some drinking. We were excited to celebrate St. Patrick's Day Aussie style. As Claudia was bathing, Christine decided to blow dry her hair with my 1875 Watt hairdryer. The luck of the Irish just wasn't with us at that point because my hair dryer blew what we thought was a fuse, but turned out to be the electricity for the entire 5th floor of our hotel! Ooops! The hotel manager was cool about it, and fixed the problem shortly thereafter.

So we headed out for a night on the town. Hanging with the backpackers of Cairns was interesting. We hit up two different bars, and each had many backpackers dressed in green, and some not dressed at all; there was a wet T shirt contest at one of the pubs we went to.

Day two in Cairns started at 7:20 A.M. We had a nice breakfast and then headed on the bus to take us to Michaelmas Cay. Today was one of those days where we experienced a moment of clarity, as we boarded a boat headed to one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World; The Great Barrier Reef. It was simply amazing. We boarded the Ocean Spirit Catamaran which took us two hours out on the water to the gorgeous Michaelmas Cay. We started the tour with a semi submersible ride in the Reef. Take a look at the pics below. Through this submarine-type vessel, we were able to see sea turtles, a reef shark, and many of the colorful corals the reef houses.

We then ate some lunch on the Catamaran, and then got our wet suits and snorkeling gear on for the underwater experience of a lifetime. We hopped on a small beach buggy and rode out to the reef where we snorkeled for hours. We saw sting rays, gorgeous corals, HUGE clams, schools of vividly colored fish, and the water was a pleasant 90 degrees! Oh, and guess what? NO BOX JELLY FISH!!!

We are getting ready to take a walk to the Esplanade here at Cairns, to do some more souvenir shopping, get some grub and of course, to get Christine her ice cream Yay!). We are all kind of still swaying back and forth, I guess being on the boat for so many hours has left us a bad case of sea legs. Guess we'd never make it as mermaids.

Tomorrow we are off on a 4 wheel drive adventure to the Daintree Rain forest. Hopefully, we will finally see the wildlife we've been talking about for months leading up to this trip!

G'day Mates!

We are in the hotel lobby awaiting our airport transfer, as we are on our way to Cairnes. We will soon be snorkeling in one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World; The Great Barrier Reef. Remember Finding Nemo? Remember the sea turtles, and beautiful coral reefs depicted in the movie? We will soon be witness to that! Isn't that incredible? OK Rachel, breathe...I guess I'm so excited because this was one of the reasons why I booked this trip. One of my goals is to see all seven Natural Wonders of the World by the time I'm 50 years old. (One down, I saw the Great Pyramids of Egypt in 2005).

OK, eough about me. Christine is probably the most excited to leave the Outback. She was laying out in the sun for about 8 minutes and came back well done. She's in some discomfort from her sunburn, but Claudia's sudden spurts of laughter always lighten every situation. The bugs also drove us a bit crazy, but we are all in agreement when we say the Australian Outback makes for some gorgous scenery.

We had a very nice dinner last night too at a "fine dining establishment" here at the resort. We ate a bunch of stuff that we cant' pronounce and enjoyed the tasty wine of Australia. We ate like real grown ups.

Hey Blogaroni Followers!

I am SO sorry we haven't written anything in a day and a half. We got to the Outback (Ayer's Rock) yesterday morning, and have very limited Internet (and phone) service here. It's pretty desolate. There are only 4 small hotels, and it's the down season, so very few travelers.

We have a nice room overlooking Ayer's Rock (The World's largest rock). See above photos. The nights are filled with shining stars and the mornings with beautiful birds. The only down side of this part of Australia are the many, many flies! We are constantly under attack. We had no choice but to buy nets that protect our faces from these annoying insects. We look pretty funny in them (see above photos), but it's the only refuge we have.

We started the day off with a walking tour of The Olgas (Kata Tjuta). Temperatures neared 100 degrees. We then continued on our Outback adventure with a sunset tour of Ayer's Rock (Uluru). We were supplied with a choice of White or Red wines, crackers and cheese to indulge in while watching the sunset.

The world's largest rock sounds boring, but it's an absolutely amazing sight.
We then came back to the hotel, watched CSI Miami, and, as the commercial notes, "The Most Popular Show in Australia", "Underbelly". Picture a Spanish Telenovela, but in English...LOTS OF DRAMA.

Day two in Ayer's Rock started very, very early; and even earlier for some. There is an hour and half time difference between Ayer's Rock and Sydney. Some of us, (Claudia!) did not change the time on their phones or watches, therefore making everyone get up at 3:00 for a 4:30 A.M. wake up call! Panama Jack was all dressed and ready to go, but an hour and a half early! We went back to bed, and woke up at the original call time of 4:30 A.M. and were on the tour bus at 5:10 A.M. for a sunrise tour of Ayer's Rock. The sunrise was nice, see pics below. We drank the free Nescafe and crackers and awaited the next activity, which was a walking tour of the interior of Ayer's Rock.

We have been waiting and waiting to see the following:
1) A Kangaroo
2) A Koala
3) An Aboriginal tribe member
4) A Dingoe

We finally got to see one of the above mentioned...can you guess which one?

Upon entering the Cultural Center (aka where they sell the REALLY expensive souvenirs) of Ayer's Rock, we saw three Aboriginal women, whom were also artists. We didn't say anything to them, I think the sight of them had the three of us awestruck. We've been taught through our tours that the Aborigines people are very highly respected, and are NOT to me made any mockery of. So we felt strange even staring their way. But they are very, ummm, indigenous looking.

OK, so since my $10 is going to run out soon, I will leave you with some more pictures. We are off to Cairne's tomorrow afternoon, and will hopefully have better access to the Internet.

Day 2 in Sydney

Hey Blogaroni Friends,

It's about 9:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14th.

Day 2 in Sydney: With only 2 days in Sydney, and so much to see, we tried to do as much as humanly possible. We woke up, had a great breakfast at the Vibe Hotel, then took a little walk as we waited for our tour guide to scoop us up. We then took the drive to The Rocks - The oldest area of Sydney. We toured the area and did some boomerang shopping. The tour guide was great, but a little too boring for these NYC chicks...so we ditched the tour and headed to the Sydney Opera House. See pics below...We walked all around Sydney Harbour and then made our way to the nerve-wracking Sydney Bridge Climb...

So who chickened out? NO ONE! We got our crash course in bridge climbing, got harnessed in and headed up the Sydney Bridge for the climb of our lives. We climbed many a steep step, walked over countlesss steel grates with passing car and train traffic beneath us and overcame the countless thoughts of "what would happen if I slipped and fell?" while being hundreds of feet above the 100 foot-deep waters of Sydney Harbour.

So why no pictures of us on the bridge you ask? WELL, as we reached the summit of the bridge, we were hit with an electrical storm! Unfortunately, we had to head back down the bridge (to avoid getting struck by lightning on an ALL STEEL bridge) without having reached the top. But we did make it pretty far up there!!! The view of the city of Sydney from atop the bridge was heavenly. And the entire experience was an incredible RUSH!

So as we say farewell to Sydney, we say hello to the Australian Outback. We head to Ayer's Rock at 6:30 A.M. Here are some pics from today's travels....Stay tuned for more!

Day One...

Hey Blogaroni Fans...

Day one in Australia was fantastic. After settling in, we decided to get on a double decker tour bus and learn all about Sydney. We sat on the top deck of the bus, and aside from getting whipped in the face from some tree branches, we saw some of the captivating sites that Sydney has to offer. Here are a few:

Sydney Bridge....So we're pre-paid for the Sydney Bridge Climb at 3:45 PM tomorrow. We will be strapped in by harness and walk 3/12 hours to the very summit of the bridge (134 meters above Sydney Harbour). After seeing the height of this thing today, one of us got VERY nervous.

Will one of the NYC Aussie Adventurers chicken out? Check back on the blog tomorrow to see if the three amigas make it to the top of the bridge!

We also went to Bondi Beach today for dinner. GORGEOUS! Not just talking about the surfers...the sunset was just as amazing as the food.

Sydney is NOT ready for us...

Us (VERY TIRED) at LAX waiting for our Sydney-bound flight

The eagle(s) have landed! So far so good...Qantas supplied us with a great flight experience. Lots of good food, sleeping masks, warm cozy socks, and unlimited liquor! Christine gave the Australian beer two thumbs up. Claudia and I opted for the Australian wine while in the air.

We landed in Sydney at about 8:50 A.M. (Friday 3/13). The only semi-bad experience was that our tour guide wasn't there to scoop us up at the airport. So we hopped in a Maxi-Taxi (Not a feminine product, it's the name of the yellow taxi's out here) and got to the Sydney Vibe Hotel (It's very W-Hotel-ish). Having the driver on the right side of the car and driving on the right side of the street is going to take some getting used to.

I haven't flushed the toilet yet, but I will momentarily! I'm told the water goes in the opposite direction...stay tuned for the video proof on this blog soon!

We had our first Australian meal, wel actually, it was Spanish. We ate brunch at The Hernandez Cafe (We can't seem to let go of that People en Espanol flair, even while in a different hemisphere).

We are about to shower, because we are all pretty funky from not showering for over a day. Then we're off to roam the city.

Let the Blogging BEGIN! We're all checked in and on our way.

One of the things I was most looking forward to was shopping DUTY FREE in JFK! However, the nice "flashlight" security guard informed me that I can't shop in Duty Free until my layover in Los Angeles.

Another thing to note is the pleasurable experience of the International Terminal at JFK. Why is it checking in at the Jet Blue terminal here to fly to Tampa is as pleasant as a root canal?

So we're here in the food court listening to the blaring salsa music (they must have known the girls from People en Espanol were coming), as we await the plane that will carry us to our Aussie adventure.

Getting Ready for the Land Down Under

OMG! It's almost here! The trip I have been waiting to take my whole life! I head to Australia on 3/11, and I can't believe it!

SO, to prepare...I'm doing a body cleanse (not a colon cleanse). So far so good, but I'm not sure how much cleansing it's really doing! The dude at GNC recommended that we do this cleanse before we try the Acai Berry diet, which is what Oprah says to do to drop some pounds. And ANYTHING that Oprah says has to be right; right? Anyway, my urine is NEON yellow...so I guess it's working. Right?

I also wanted to update you guys on a new way to hear my Internet radio show...so check this out, Urban Latino Radio is now on itunes! How huge is that? Very; I know...

Blogging for Dummies

OK, so here it is. MY NEW BLOG! WOWSERS. What did I start?

Although I'm not one to "Jump on the Blog Waggon", I figured I have a lot of upcoming projects, trips and crap that I should post for the world (especially those who aren't members of Facebook and MySpace) to see. I don't discriminate! There are some people that just don't feel safe posting their lives on their Facebook pages like the rest of us.

So stay tuned for many outrageous photos, stories and vent-sessions on this blog. I also plan on blogging my entire Australia trip (happening in March) so the world can see my riding in a kangaroos pouch and sneaking a Koala bear in my carry on. I will also be featuring some goodies and contests here for my Urban Latino Radio listeners in the near future.
